The Match Stick 4-Mile is presented by the Wadsworth Running Club in partnership with The Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital Foundation and the Wadsworth Blue Tip Festival. This event is part of the 2011 Ohio Challenge Series. The race starts with a pass through downtown Wadsworth and the Huge Flaming Stick Match, then off to the residential neighborhoods. Proceeds from this event to benefit Wadsworth Blue Tip Festival Charities. This race has been in the Ohio Challenge Series for all 13 years.**There will be no strollers permitted during this event. The Mini Matchstick, 1-Mile fun run, gives runner a warm-up or a chance to get the kids out there for a little fun before Mom and Dad's big race. This will start at 6:30 pm, plenty of time get back to watch the start of or run the 4-miler. No chips will be issued for this event.
Lots of home made cookies, fresh pizza, chips, cold watermelon, bananas, and drinks will be available. There is absolutely no reason to go home and fix dinner after this post race feast.

Course is mostly flat with a rolling hill just after the start. Water stop at mid-way point. Race finished with a nice downhill to the clock.
1-Mile Course
Course will exit at the back of the school, travel north around a cone, and back to the school for the finish.
No strollers or pets are permitted during the race.
Indoor restrooms are available, but there are no shower facilities on-site.
